英伦摇滚源自于英国九十年代初期的独立音乐圈，其中以几个受到英国六七零年代吉他流行乐影响的乐队最具代表性。这种音乐类型，发展成为对抗八零年代末及九零年初期音乐及文化的潮流，特别是针对来自美国的Grunge风潮。代表乐队有Suede、Blur、Oasis、Pulp等等，这些乐队引领英国另类摇滚成为主流，并且成为政治文化活动“酷英国”的骨架。
近年来，很多英式乐队都在纯粹的吉他音色扫弦中加入了新的元素，如这一期音乐中的第3首Northern Man，甚至加了弦乐。自从英伦摇滚热潮取得商业突破后，很多年轻的乐队似乎被快速成名的念头冲昏了头脑，多了一些速食主义时代的浮躁，却少了一份对音乐最纯粹的钻研。太多乐队用电气化设备的声音来掩盖技术上的不足，这未免是一种时代的遗憾。
总有那么一个时刻，想自己去享受。不需要讲给谁，不需要观众，甚至不需要记录下来。就享受那一刻。希望这些音乐能够在这样的时刻里陪伴着你们。
